6/19: Juneteenth In Louisville!
After our post last week of about the Tuesday 6/19 Juneteenth Celebration we are sponsoring at Galaxie Bar, we noticed a surprising lack of coverage from other local media outlets about Juneteenth events in the Louisville area, so we have decided to publish a list of multiple Juneteenth celebrations in town.
Known as 'Juneteenth', 'Emancipation Day', or 'Freedom Day', this annual holiday originated out of Texas and has been celebrated for 150 years commemorating the end of slavery following the Civil War, and continues to be an important, if underreported, holiday in America and is celebrated every June 19th.

Celebrating Juneteenth with obesity and diabetes issues talk at Newburg Free Public Library 3pm. Free
Juneteenth Celebration Gala: The Trustees of Inclusive Equity Awards
