A couple months ago we made a last minute trip to Lexington to catch the Whigs open for our local favorites Wax Fang; it was well worth the trip. The Whigs have a pure rock power that's hard to deny and are headlining this year's first Waterfront Wednesday concert series sponsored by WFPK.Playing along with the Whigs are Wild Sweet Orange from Birmingham, Alabama and Griffin House from Nashville, Tennessee. As usual, this a free concert series that occurs all summer long on the last Wednesday of the month (aside from this first one... due to Derby conflicts.)
