sunday afternoons all summer at monkey wrench

JC Denison knows long weekend nights, he also knows eloquent phrasing. he is currently spinning wax at the Monkey Wrench every sunday afternoon, and has a message for you:
Another weekend come and gone. The blurred memories of Friday and Saturday are nestled securely somewhere in that space in our heads between triumph and defeat, enlightenment and embarrassment, reward and regret. Sundays have notoriously been the buffer between Saturdays and Mondays, a time for us to tuck our tails between our legs and prepare to get back to whatever reality may lurk around the corner. Until now. Arouse your senses again every Sunday afternoon at Shake It Off Sundays with Narwhal (OK Deejays) and ClifTones (Lucky Pineapple) on the rooftop of the Monkey Wrench. From 1pm to 6pm, they will be spinning tropicalia, jazz, funk, lounge, soul, and any other chilled out sounds that might help you wake up, make up, forge ahead, fight on, and shake IT off. The Wrench will offer full build-your-own bloody-mary and mimosa bars along with their regular bar menu. Complement all of this with the sunshine and cool breeze, and Louisville's hangover doesn't stand a chance.

on a personal note, i have a usb turntable from the louisville based Crosley, and when they work, they are a swell item to have. they are portable, and can transfer your albums digitally to your computer.. when they don't work, they still look good.
