Bonnie "Prince" Billy Debuts New Group: The Babblers

Yet another understated project by the Louisville's own Will Oldham a.k.a. Bonnie "Prince" Billy", The Babblers premeired in Chattanoga earlier this week. The group is doing a small run of shows up the east coast as the openers for Bonnie "Prince" Billy.

The project is certainly departure from Billy's recent work. The group covers songs from Kevin Coyne and Dagmar Kraus' 1979 album Babble. Billy shares vocal responsibilities with Chicago singer Angel Olsen. Billy said in an interview with Chattarati that the album was more Olsen's idea than his but says there are plans to record either in Little Rock, Arkansas or Chicago soon.
