Free Art Give-A-Way: Rock N' Roll $20 Art Show

 It's the very last week of Butchertown Social, the home of Tuesday Vinyl Nite that  37FLOOD hosted for over a year, and we will very much miss it. We also have the honor of hosting the very last public event at Butchertown Social this Saturday, December 7th: The Rock N' Roll $20 Art Show with all rock inspired art by Louisville artists for just $20 each and a live set by Hawks at 9 p.m. (Free entry to the event).

To celebrate all the good times we've had at Butchertown Social, we are picking a lucky winner at random to pick their choice of art by artist John King. His construction paper art has seen international attention recently for his artwork on the new Bonnie 'prince' Billy 7" single 'At The Back Of The Pit.'

Just tag a pal you'd like to share Rock N' Roll art with to enter here and we'll pick a winner on Friday.

The last week of events at Butchertown Social

2nd Annual 2LLZ 1LUV Coat Drive

Rmllw2llz, the mastermind behind local label KR8vN8vs, is collecting coats for the 2nd Annual 2LLZ 1LUV Coat Drive. To participate simply bring a coat (or coats) to Matt Anthony's, Guestroom Records, Weightless KY, or the Butchertown Social by November 16th and drop it into a collection box.

12/7: $20 Rock N Roll Art Show

On Saturday December 7th at Butchertown Social (1601 Story Ave) John King, founder of the original $20 art show will be hosting the Rock N Roll $20 Art Show with all original work by Chad Castetter, Michael Tackett, Stevee, as well as King's paper cut out work (pictured below). Louisville southern rock heroes Hawks will be playing live. Art goes on sale at 8pm, music at 9pm. This event is free and open to all. Bring a canned good to support Kentucky Harvest. 6/19 2nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration with Kr8vN8vs & Louisville Is For Lovers

We are proud to co-host the 2nd annual Juneteenth Celebration with Kr8vN8vs & Louisville Is For Lovers!

Starting at 8pm at Butchertown Social artists from Kr8vN8vs & Louisville Is For Lovers will perform all night in a family atmosphere with both food and drink specials. The celebration is free and open to all.

About Juneteenth:
Known as 'Juneteenth', 'Emancipation Day', or 'Freedom Day', this annual holiday originated out of Texas and has been celebrated for 150 years commemorating the end of slavery following the Civil War, and continues to be an important, if underreported, holiday in America and is celebrated every June 19th.
