The 2018 Louisville Is For Lovers Valentine's Showcase will be on Saturday Feb. 10th at LFPL (301 York street) Featuring Adventure, Soft Self Portraits, and Mother Runaway. 6pm-10pm FREE.
 The event is sponsored by the Louisville Free Public Library (LFPL) and the Louisville Underground Music Archive (LUMA). The event will start at 6pm with the Wild And Wooly Film Series with a screening of Breadcrumb Trail: The Story Of Slint

Also, the Winger Brothers and special guests will be performing songs from the new Valentine's album on Friday Feb. 9th live on 91.9FM WFPK's Live Lunch at noon.

Video: 1200's City Song

Just released, as part of WFPK's 'City Song Series' (video's of Louisville Artists playing music around Louisville), is 1200 playing a solo version of his song OZ.
A studio recording of Oz was originally released in 2014 as part of the Louisville Is For Lovers & Guestroom Records 'Summer Cassingle Series'.

2/5 Louisville Is For Lovers Live Lunch @ WFPK

This Friday 2/5 at noon at WFPK studios will be a special Louisville Is For Lovers Showcase for the new LP released the same day. It will  feature Twin Limb, The Hot Wires, The Gallery Singers, Jaye Jayle, Tender Mercy, Daphne Luster, as well as special guests and will be broadcast live on 91.9FM.

Also, tonight there will be a preview listening party for the new Louisville Is For Lovers LP at Haymarket Whiskey bar. 5 advanced copies will be given away, and there will be a photo exhibit by Nik Vechery. More info on this event here.

Dawes opening for Bright Eyes June 7th @ Iroquois

Early last year I was turned on to a band called Dawes; the album "North Hills" was a grower for me but once it hit, I was a happy camper! I got the chance to see them at the Newport Folk Festival last year in Rhode Island and they have a powerful live show that shouldn't be missed.

Their new album "Nothing is Wrong" has an official release date of June 7th so this is somewhat of a record release show. As they are opening for Bright Eyes and not in their hometown, I can't imagine we'll be treated with what My Morning Jacket gave us earlier this week but Dawes with Bright Eyes will be a very nice treat for a tuesday!
