10/3 New Louisville Music Archive unveiled by Louisville Free Public Library

The Louisville Free Public Library (LFPL) has started a new program entitled Louisville Mix,  a free streaming service unveiled today (October 3rd) on their Website  that will archive and stream music by Louisville bands. To start there are over 50 full releases by Louisville bands including Twin Limb, Andrew Rinehart, Team Totoro, Cheyenne Mize, 23 String Band, Mudcat Blues Band, and others.
LFPL has also teamed up with Louisville Is For Lovers and  the entire LISFORL collection will be available to stream through Louisville Mix. All of the Louisville Is For Lovers Valentine's releases will be available to start, and the entire 15 year catalogue will be available by January 20th, when the Library will release the full archive to date (with music added continuously after).

 The Louisville Free Public Library has also paired up with 37FLOOD to help recruit local bands for the Louisville Mix Project. In January for 37FLOOD's 10th Anniversary (yep! we've been doing this for almost a decade!) We will be co-hosting a live Louisville Mix Showcase at the LFPL main branch with Louisville bands playing an 'After Dark' event. And in February Louisville Is For Lovers in partnership with Louisville Free Public Library will unveil the 2017 Valentine's release.

9/17 We Have A Matt Bevin Problem Live Showcase (New Vintage & Zanzabar)

The anonymous creators of the very popular 44 track 'We Have a Bevin Problem' compilation released June 18th are throwing a multi-venue showcase this Saturday, September 17th 5pm-1am, at the New Vintage and Zanzabar with many acts from the comp (Andrew Rinehart, Ben Helm Music, Rebecca Williams, Ron Whitehead, Royal Bears, Derek LaFountain, The Uncommon Houseflies, Sean Sullivan, Tender Mercy and Heather Summers) as well as guest speakers Senator Gerald Neal, Representative Mary Lou Marsian, Vitalia Lanshima, and Professor Greg Leichty.

Tonight: Andrew Rinehart, Howell Dawdy, and The Caribbean

Louisville native Andrew Rinehart (formerly Saredren Wells) will be releasing the second installment of his EP seires at the Haymarket Whiskey Bar tonight July 11th, supported by Howell Dawdy and The Caribbean. Doors open at 8 and the show starts at 9.

New Music: Andrew Rinehart (Feat. Cheyenne Mize)

Louisville Native Drew Sellers, Better known as singer/songwriter Saredren Wells (an anagram of Andrew Sellers) has a new EP under the new moniker Andrew Rinehart.

In 2010 Sellers released the haunting LP 'Memories Are Hunting Horns' and if you can find it, buy it, you won't be disappointed.  Sellers is now living in L.A. but returned to Louisville to record this EP, Everything Part I (as well as Parts II & III, out soon), at La La Land Studios by Kevin Ratterman, and features Cheyenne Mize on vocals and fiddle.

'Everything' Part I is available on Bandcamp as a 'name your price' album, so the price is surely to fit your budget...
