Alright, so it's not a thing i've done in the past; nor is it a thing that'll happen every Tuesday...
I do have some photos that didn't make it through the post processing last month and wanted to share them with you.
The Louisville is for Lovers showcases brought 4 shows to the area to celebrate the release in a period of 4 days; it was a whirlwind to say the least. The only show I didn't get to was the Live Lunch show at WFPK and it looks as though I found some YouTube links so sit back and look at some photos and watch some videos and reminisce about the great comp (that's still available for purchase) that is Louisville is for Lovers!

We caught wind of the Ear X-tacy instore this friday and along with the Fervor, Jimmy from Deer Meet is going to do a solo set and the lovely Teneia Sanders will be singing too! This all starts at 7pm this friday the 13th. Best of all, it's FREE!

So, I don't have much news about this new band Bro. Stephen aside from the fact that it's formed from Scott Kirkpatrick (Chemic) and musicians from Nashville and Bloomington. What I do know is that I love what I've heard. They're celebrating a new hand made EP entitled "Front Room" that appears to be much more than EP length clocking in at 14 songs (correct me if I'm wrong, I could just be reading the demo stuff from myspace wrong.) It looks to only be available at their shows and I'm dying to get a copy to hear more than the two tracks on myspace... uhg, myspace. 

I can tell you that Scott and his band Chemic are great and the magic that is Teneia Sanders will be playing as well! Oh yea, they're playing down at the little bar under the Sterling beer sign, Lisa's on Oak Street Lounge this Saturday starting at 9pm.

Livewire CD release show

There's a new live CD coming to town... John Torstrick's Livewire Vol. 1. The CD drops this Friday along with a CD release show for $5 (cd included in cover) at Gerstle's in St. Matthews. For those that haven't heard a recording that John has made, you're in for a suprise! John knows how to really capture the sound in any enviromment; from the small bar to the outdoor venue, he weaves the sound of the room with the multi-tracked recording of the bands seamlessly.

The show will feature The Hemingways, Arnett Hollow and Teneia Sanders and starts at 10pm.
