TONIGHT ONLY! Recovery Child @ The Rud 3/22
Canadian rockers Recovery Child will be stopping by Louisville TONIGHT on their way back from SXSW (pick up a free download here). They will be playing at The Rud at 9 pm with Typefighter and Tripping Scarlet. $5. head out tonight and show them how we support rock n' roll way down here in Kentucky.

annual good friday gospel show at the rud 4/2

On April 2, the Health & Happiness Family Gospel Band is returning to the Rudyard Kipling (422 W. Oak St.) for their annual Good Friday show. it promises to be a night of raucous country and soul gospel music.
The current lineup features members of Bad Blood, Thomas A. Minor & the Picket Line, Yardsale, Red Light Relay, Rude Weirdo, and The Smacks. The show starts at 11. Covers is $5. Dress in your church best, God will be watching...

Thursday in old louisville
If your heading out tonite for the Motherlodge show at the RUD (see info below), you might as well stop by another Old Louisville institution after the show to keep the night going...
from 10 to 3 am tonite our buddy Woodrow On The Radio will spining on the wheels of steel at the Mag Bar. it's a lotta music, and a lotta old louisville, and a little bit of booze.. you can't go wrong.
update: Tamara Dearing is playing out tonite as well, at Vernon Club for F-N Art Launch Party. she's on at 10. $5.

the motherlodge has much in store for you this month..
Motherlodge along with with Looking For Lilith the company's is presenting "Crossing Mountains, To Teach All We Can, To Learn All We Can" this thursday at the Rud. The evening begins with an acoustic set by Troubadours Of Divine Bliss at 7 and Crossing Mountains at 7:30. Immediately following the show, Chef Timothy Tucker and Shelby Park Soul Stew kick in the first night of their residence on the bar stage with special guest The Mack. At 10, Louisville's John Whitaker plays a set to welcome Brooklyn's greatest small town band Balthrop, Alabama (featuring Louisville/Brooklynite and Middle Man drummer Jason Bemis Lawrence). Stories in song and moving image provided by artist Michael Arthur.
Doors 6p.m. Show 7p.m. $15 Crossing Mountains Tickets available at the door.
