Woodrow on the Radio Anniversary Show

Woody Chancy, a.k.a. Woodrow on the Radio, of 9.19 WFPK Louisville will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Woody's Roadhouse with a great lineup at Vernon Lanes this Friday. Woody will be "spinning wax for insomniacs" live on the air. On top of that Woody welcomes some of his and our favorite Louisville Bands. The Ladybirds, The Broken Spurs, King Sonic, DJ Matt Anthony, and DJ Ibuka of World Force Reggae will perform.

Woody's Roadhouse normally airs every Friday and Saturday night from midnight to 6 a.m. on the mighty fine ninety-one nine. Tickets for Friday's show are only $5 at the door. Doors open at 8 and the show starts at 9, winding down at two. And as usual Woody's show will feature "All killer, no filler, baby!"

Thursday in old louisville

If your heading out tonite for the Motherlodge show at the RUD (see info below), you might as well stop by another Old Louisville institution after the show to keep the night going...
from 10 to 3 am tonite our buddy Woodrow On The Radio will spining on the wheels of steel at the Mag Bar. it's a lotta music, and a lotta old louisville, and a little bit of booze.. you can't go wrong.
update: Tamara Dearing is playing out tonite as well, at Vernon Club for F-N Art Launch Party. she's on at 10. $5.

It seems WOODROW ON THE RADIO is continuing his search for the perfect place to park his week night, real live version of his popular WFPK radio show, WOODY'S ROAD HOUSE. recent stops include MONKEY WRENCH and Vernon Lanes on thursdays, ending on New Years Eve. He is now giving The Mag Bar a spin on Monday Nights 9pm-3am. We can't think of a better place for the JUKE JOINT OF THE MIND than the home of THE BEST JUKE BOX IN TOWN. come out next Monday, March 8, and support ol' Woodrow, and maybe he'll stick around for awhile.
