8/3: Sound Visual(s) opening reception at Craft(s) Gallery

Sound Visual(s) as a visual art show of 4 Louisville artists who work both in the musical and visual arts: Matt Anthony (WFPK & Matt Anthony's Record Shop), Jordan Humbert (The Winger Brothers), John King (Louisville Is For Lovers Series), and Michael Tackett (DJ at The Pearl) through August at Craft(s) Gallery (572 S. Fourth Street).

Opening Reception with the artists; Friday August 3rd from 6-9pm with refreshments and DJ sets by the artists.

John Hughes Dance Party 10/19

Matt Anthony is throwing a John Hughes Dance Party at Monkey Wrench. It sounds like great time. $3 with costume/$5 without. 10/19 10-2am

personally, the Pretty In Pink soundtrack is one of my most played records of all. with Orchestral Maneuvers in The dark, Psychedelic Furs, and the Smiths,  it's a must listen!

TONITE! Seluah @ Zanzabar 7/17

Seluah is playing tonight, July 17th,  at Zanzabar with She Might Bite and DJ Matt Anthony.
This will be their last show before they play 4 dates with TV On The Radio next month and will be playing quite a few songs from their upcoming full-length album. The cover is $7.

4/9 Bacon Ball @ Water Tower

 Bacon seems to be the cool new thing in Louisville these days.. with fests in Butchertown, restaurants serving all bacon flavored entrees, and ice cream parlors making bacon sundaes. So why not have a big ol' bacon ho-down on the banks of the Ohio: Saturday April 9th at the Water Tower will be The Bacon Ball, with art, booze and music. and bacon.

There are 2, count 'em, events this weekend at Glassworks for you to shake your ass 10 stories up.

Friday July 29th DJ Booty Sweat and others will be rocking the wax on the roof for 21+ crowd. $10 and the best view of the skyline aside from the county jail.

Sunday August 1st is "Salsa In The City" featuring Louisville's hottest Latin band, Cosa Seria with DJ JBird and Matt Anthony (of WFPK fame).
