6/15: Girls Rock Camp Showcase at Zanzabar


The annual Girls Rock Louisville Summer Camp Showcase will be at Zanzabar on Friday, June 15th from 5:30-7:00 p.m.With performances from nine new bands formed at by the campers at Girls Rock Louisville 2018 Camp.
This is an all-ages, family-friendly event. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and GRL bands will perform at 6:00 p.m.  $5

 Girls Rock Louisville empowers girls and gender non-conforming youth from all backgrounds by exploring music creation in a supportive, inclusive environment.

1/14 Girls Rock Louisville Album Release at Guestroom



The 2nd Annual Girls Rock Louisville album will be released  on Sunday,  JAN. 14TH, with an album release party at 11 AM- 2 PM at Guestroom Records (1806 Frankfort Ave). The cost to attend is free and the 9 track CD will be available for $8. The songs are the end result of the Girls Rock Louisville music camp. 6/16: Girls Rock Camp Showcase at Headliners

The Girls Rock Camp for girls and gender-nonconforming youth will be held next week, and will host a showcase at Headliners on June 16th, after their week-long program.
Nine new bands formed at the camp will perform brand new original songs as well as performances from Shannon Wright, Honeychild Coleman, Bungalow Betty, as well as the ladies of Louisville Championship Arm Wrestling. Tickets here.

5/4: Thurby with Girls Rock Louisville

On May 4th at  OUTERspace (732 E. Market St.) The Girls Rock Louisville mentoring program and music camp will be throwing  a fundraiser in support of Girls Rock Louisville’s 2017 Summer Camp Financial Aid fund and will feature the bands Half-Seas-Over, On The Bang, Grlwood, and Lung (with Daisy Caplan of Foxy Shazam).
 The $10 cover will go towards Girls Rocks’ financial aid fund, which provides financial assistance for campers in need to attend the program at a free or reduced cost.
