4/7-9: A Weekend Of Love And Resistance

This friday-Sunday at 1007 E. Jefferson St. in Louisville, Ky, will be the Weekend of Love and Resistance, with over 35 bands and speakers raising funds for the ACLU of Kentucky and Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky.

Bands include Catherine Irwin, Soft Self Portraits, Black God, and Pleasure Boys.

John King and Bryan Burns, members of the social activist group Electric Church Of The Tambourine's political party -The New Power Party- will be speaking on Sunday at 4pm (right before Catherine Irwin) about the importance of social programs and organizations as a tool to combat economic slavery in America.

9/23 & 24 Cropped Out Fest (Louisville)

September 23 & 24th will be the triumphant return of Ryan Davis' Cropped Out Music Fest at Turner's Club. This year's line up is the best to date rivaling any other Music Fest in the region, with weekend passes being only about 1/2 the price of other fests. The line up includes regional and national acts such as Bill Callahan (Smog), Bonnie 'prince' Billy, Kool Keith, Cearal Gylphs, Giving Up, Insect Policy, Pleasure Boys, Beat Awfuls, Dry Summers, & Thomas Jefferson Slave Apartments.

Day Passes $40. Day Pass & Camping $60. 

Weekend passes $70. Weekend & Camping $100.

Music Video: Pleasure Boys 'Some Time'

A new Music video by Allie Meyer for the song 'Some Time' by the Pleasure Boys was released this week in anticipation of the upcoming Louisville Is For Lovers 'LIFE 2016' LP (out 2/5/16), in which 'Some Time' is included, along with 30 other original tracks by Louisville artists.
