In Preparation of the Final 2 events in the Summer 7" Series, Louisville Is For Lovers has put up the first two 7"s for order, at louisvilleisforlovers.com. The remaining copies of the limited 300 pressing are only $6 with free shipping. Second Story Man+Adventure on blue marble, and The Bad Reeds+Workers on yellow marble. Whistle Peak announces many treats for you (& Video Premiere)

After a long break, one of Louisville's home grown favorites announces a long awaited return, with a new album, video, show dates, and of corse a 7" with the Louisville Is For Lovers Summer 7" Series!
From The Whistle Peak press release:
"Whistle Peak would like to announce the release of our new music video. The video was filmed by Ryan Daly of Louisville Film Society and Flyover Filmfest. The song is 'Gold Teeth' from the last album. This new video of an "old" song is being released to help promote our upcoming album to be released in November on Karate Body Records. Our first single from that album will be released next month. Then, in September, we will be playing the last of the Louisville is for Lovers Summer 7 inch series on the glassworks rooftop on 9/16 (with The Gallery Singers), during which two more whistle peak songs will be released. After the drought, comes the flood. There is a lot in store these coming months for Whistle Peak. This is meant to get that ball rolling."

Just a reminder that the 2nd SUMMER 7" SERIES show will take place on the Glassworks Rooftop this Friday at 8pm (21+ indoor space reserved for rain). everyone in attendance will receive a free 7" of new music by Second Story Man & Adventure at the door. it's only $10 (or $25 for a season pass) and both types of tickets can be pre-ordered on the Louisville Is For Lovers website.

In the dozen years Louisville is For Lovers has been bringing the best music from Local bands, I have never asked for help, what ever cuts and losses I took, I took alone, but after a succession of hits over the past few weeks, I find myself stuck.
Two weeks ago we had our first show in the SUMMER 7" SERIES on the Glassworks rooftop with The Bad Reeds and Workers with a free 7" record to everyone at the door. It was a great night despite the looming rain that kept a lot of folks home, and it got new music from local bands onto some sexy yellow vinyl.
This series is supposed to have a show every month through the summer with the next one on JUNE 24th on the Glassworks Rooftop with Second Story Man and Adventure.  It is an ambitious series, maybe too ambitious, that celebrates local music as well as the timeless art of Vinyl, and for just $10 a show you get both. Unfortunately vinyl costs a fortune as well as playing at such a unique venue such as Glassworks, and after several financial hits I fear we may not be able to continue. But, I am not giving up, as I never have, and I am asking you to please give and in supporting local music and spreading the word about this Unique and exciting project.
We are asking for you to help by pre-ordering tickets to this series so that we can pay for the next round of vinyl, and in exchange we are cutting the price and giving away a ton of extras.

As you may have heard, Glassworks has recently been sold to CGP and there have been rumors that the Summer Music Series may be canceled, but we are doing all we can to keep all the scheduled shows at glassworks, including The Summer 7" Series.  We can tell you that this Friday's show with The Bad Reeds and The Workers will be held on the Glassworks rooftop (indoor space reserved for rain, so don't be scared) and that future Summer 7" Series shows are on track as well (so don't be scared).
So to help spread the word that all is well, and the best summer ever is still right on track, we are giving away a ticket to Friday's show as well as a rare and coveted Test Pressing of the Workers/Bad Reeds 7".
