SqueezeBot @ the Nachbar - This Sunday Every Sunday

Louisville's only accordian-banjo-tuba-drums quartet will be taking over one of Louisville's hippest bars every Sunday from now to Labor Day (except the first Sunday in August). This will be the fourth year SqueezeBot has held this weekly gig at the Nachbar. If you haven't caught them before they are definitely a good time, not to mention incredibly talented musicians.

SqueezeBot features Todd Hildreth (Java Men, Liberation Prophecy, Todd Hildreth Trio) on accordion, Mick Sullivan (Fire the Saddle, Town Criers, the Slow Charleston) on banjo, Brandon Johnson on Tuba, and Megan Samples on drums . While the mix of instruments is odd the choice of tunes can seem even stranger, although you get the feeling these guys know what they're doing. SqueezeBot has been known to cover everything from Charles Mingus to Boy George and promise to bust out some new arrangements from the likes of Chick Corea and Jefferson Airplane, among others.

Admission is free. They usually play three sets between the hours of 8 and 11. They'll be on the back patio unless it rains, then they go inside.
